Dr. Lijie Li received her Ph.D. degree in Chemical & Environmental Engineering from University of California, Riverside in 2016. She earned her M.S in Environmental Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2012 and B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Central South University in 2009. Her research focuses on atmospheric chemistry, physical and chemical properties of air-water interface and the health effects of aerosol. She has published 8 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals. Dr. Li is a member of American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR), American Geophysical Union (AGU) and European Geosciences Union (EGU), etc. Her project on “Transmission of viruses through fine particles (PM2.5)” has been granted by Weston Havens Foundation from Center for Environmental Microbial Interactions at Caltech in 2016.

Kai Liu

Dr. Kai Liu received his B.S. in Chemistry from the Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge and M.S. in the same field from the University of Houston. His early research focused on total synthesis and chemical functionalization/characterization at nano-scale. He shifted his academic focus toward environmental chemistry and received Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 2016. His current research focus on targeted nano-material engineering for environmental functional materials and environmental monitoring. He has 23 publications with 446 total citations (h-index 8). He is a reviewer for the National Science Foundation, Chemosphere, Journal of Hazards Materials
